Abstract
Description
A Memorandum of Understanding was signed on April 15, 2023, between Central Sanskrit University , New Delhi, and the Spoken Tutorial Project, IIT Bombay, under the National Mission on Education through ICT, Ministry of Education, Government of India. This MoU aims to enhance digital literacy and software skills among CSU students and faculty through hands-on training in Free and Open Source Software such as Linux, LaTeX, Scilab, Java, C/C++, PHP & MySQL, and more. The training is offered in a self-paced learning format supported by IIT Bombay, with resources like manuals, assessments, and certification. Courses are available in English, Hindi, and other Indian languages to suit CSU’s needs. The MoU covers 10 campuses (₹2,25,000 paid; 2 campuses exempted), and includes Faculty Development Programs to train coordinators for smooth campus-level implementation. This collaboration strengthens IT skills and employability across all CSU campuses, supporting digital empowerment in higher education
