Abstract

Description

A Memorandum of Understanding was signed on April 19, 2024, between Central Sanskrit University, New Delhi, and the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences, New Delhi, to promote collaborative efforts in the preservation, digitization, and academic utilization of ancient medical manuscripts. The MoU aims to digitize and share rare manuscripts, books, journals, and periodicals related to Ayurvedic sciences preserved in CSU’s multi-campus collections. Key objectives include mutual sharing of existing digital resources, CCRAS-led digitization of undigitized materials, and joint organization of awareness programs, seminars, and research initiatives. Both institutions agree to co-publish research outputs, recognize manuscripts as national heritage, and provide free access to scholars. Intellectual contributions and revenue from publications will be jointly credited and managed. The agreement also outlines responsibilities regarding metadata, cataloging, and public dissemination through institutional platforms.
