dc.descriptionThis report summarizes the events of the inaugural session of a special Sanskrit ceremony held on 15 July 2024 by the Department of Sanskrit, University of Calcutta. The event honored the spiritual and academic journey of Prof. V. Prahlad Acharya, former Vice-Chancellor of Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeeth (now NSU), who, after taking Sannyasa, is now known as Shri Vidyashrisha Tirtha Swamiji. He was awarded the Swami Vivekananda Medal by the University. His disciple, Prof. Shrinivasa Varakhedi, Vice-Chancellor of Central Sanskrit University, Delhi, delivered a keynote address on “Logic of Realism” under the Pramacharya Takvagisha Distinguished Lecture Series. The event highlighted the living legacy of the Guru-Shishya tradition, central to Indian knowledge systems. Dignitaries including Prof. Śāntā Dutta, Prof. Debashish Das, and others graced the occasion. dc.descriptionयह रिपोर्ट 15 जुलाई 2024 को कलकत्ता विश्वविद्यालय के संस्कृत विभाग द्वारा आयोजित एक विशेष संस्कृत समारोह के उद्घाटन सत्र की घटनाओं का सार प्रस्तुत करती है। यह आयोजन राष्ट्रीय संस्कृत विद्यापीठ (वर्तमान में NSU) के पूर्व कुलपति प्रो. वी. प्रह्लाद आचार्य की आध्यात्मिक एवं शैक्षणिक यात्रा को सम्मानित करने हेतु आयोजित किया गया था, जो संन्यास ग्रहण करने के पश्चात अब श्री विद्या श्रीश तीर्थ स्वामीजी के नाम से विख्यात हैं। विश्वविद्यालय द्वारा उन्हें स्वामी विवेकानंद पदक से सम्मानित किया गया। उनके शिष्य प्रो. श्रीनिवास वरखेड़ी, वर्तमान में केन्द्रीय संस्कृत विश्वविद्यालय, दिल्ली के कुलपति हैं, जिन्होंने प्रमाचार्य तर्कवागीश विशिष्ट व्याख्यानमाला के अंतर्गत “यथार्थवाद का तर्क” विषय पर मुख्य व्याख्यान प्रस्तुत किया। यह आयोजन भारतीय ज्ञान परंपरा की मूल आत्मा — गुरु-शिष्य परंपरा की जीवंत विरासत को उजागर करता है। कार्यक्रम की शोभा बढ़ाने वाले प्रमुख अतिथियों में प्रो. शांता दत्ता, प्रो. देबाशीष दास और अन्य विद्वान सम्मिलित थे। यह आयोजन संस्कृत विद्वानों के शिक्षा, परंपरा और सनातन धर्म के संरक्षण में निरंतर योगदान को समर्पित था।hi
