The university was established on 15/10/1970 and was granted university status on 07/05/2002. On 30/04/2020, it was officially recognized as the Central Sanskrit University. The 75th Foundation Day of the university was celebrated on 16/10/2023 with great grandeur and dignity. The occasion was graced by several distinguished guests, including IAS officer Shri Bhagyash Jha, who praised the university’s contributions to Indian culture and education. Hon’ble Deputy Speaker Shri Ramprasad Palav also extended his heartfelt congratulations. Eminent scholars and cultural experts highly appreciated the university’s academic excellence and its commitment to preserving cultural heritage. On this occasion, several significant scholarly publications were also released, reflecting the university’s continued intellectual and cultural advancement.
